Nice Win in San Francisco
Red Sox 7, Giants 0. Nice effort by the team that flew out to the left coast earlier in the day. The combination of Jon Lester throwing strikes & Giants batters swinging early in counts helped Lester go 8 1/3. The defending World Series champs looked punchless at the plate & Tim Lincecum looked like a shadow of his former self, from low velocity to short hair. The Giants are under .500 & 2013 is not looking like a year where they have the horses to repeat. The Giants still do have a few good pitchers that can shutdown an offense, so let's hope that Vogelsong doesn't pitch a good one tonight. Nice nights at the plate for Shane Victorino, Daniel Nava, Saltie & Stephen Drew. No errors in the field for David Ortiz at 1B, but he seemed out of rhythm at the plate. Ask Eck about how he like the NL intentional walks to the #8 hitter to pitch to the pitcher. The Sox win keeps Tampa one game back. Let's hope Baltimore can beat Tampa a few times. Jake Peavy tries to make it 2 in a row tonight.
