Red Sox Magic on August 1st

How do you top a 15-inning walk-off win a little after midnight on August 1st? Answer - you score 6 in the bottom of the 9th to win 8-7 later that same night! 2 exciting wins in 1 day. We have had the Impossible Dream Year. Morgan Magic. Cardiac Kids. The 2004 Comeback in the ALCS. But this year's edition of the Boston Red Sox is writing their own legend into the history books. John Farrell came up with the word "magical." You fill-in the word that adequately describes the 24 come-from-behind wins this year. Not since the Mother's Day Miracle against the O's has a Red Sox team come from so far back to win in their last at-bat. Last night it was Daniel Nava with the winning hit. Good for this guy after making a big base-running gaff against the Rays. And let's not forget Jonny Gomes' play in the field & subsequent at-bat in the 9th. It's true - Jonny Gomes is the Kevin Millar of this year's team. If this is what Red Sox fans will be treated to all of August, it's going to be one heck of a month. Less hear less on the sport shows about Patriots practice & more about real games going on at Fenway.
