Chris Davis - Using Or Not?

I looked up the home run history of Chris Davis. 2008 - 17. 2009 - 21. 2010 - 1. 2011 - 5. 2012 - 33. 2013 thus far - 47. Obviously, something changed in 2012. Eck & Orsillo say that Davis no longer swings wildly for pitches out of the strike zone. OK, maybe that helps your batting average or on-base percentage. But the surge in power numbers is hard to swallow that Davis isn't juicing up on something. And Davis has stated several times when asked that he is clean. This is an odd statistical anomaly for a guy in 2010 & 2011 that may have been heading out of the bigs for no power to his recent surge in 2012 & 2013. Most times in life, & maybe not in Davis' case, if it's too good to be believed, it's not true. I'm a skeptic thanks to Ryan Braun.
