A-Rod Plunked by Dempster
It may not have been the smartest thing to do. It didn't end well in the 6th. But Dempster's plunking of A-Rod was something that all of baseball can appreciate - for clean players, for fans & for the betterment of the game. A-Rod should not be playing. He is effecting the outcome of playoff teams in the AL East & elsewhere. I wouldn't be surprised if he is hit multiple times before the season is over. When I saw the home run in the 6th you say to yourself why the hell did this guy ever get into steroids? He didn't need to with his natural ability. But neither did Bonds, Clemens, Sosa, McGwire or Braun. And on the "Today Show" Matt Lauer surprised A-Rod's attorney with a document from MLB to sign that would waive confidentiality & allow MLB to present their evidence publically, something A-Rod & his attorney have been mouthing off about that they wanted to happen. Unfortunately, the attorney did not sign the form, but he was embarrassed & left the show with his tail between his legs. It could get real ugly for A-Rod as the season wears on & he continues to be allowed to play against playoff contenders. He might have gotten out of Boston easy.
