Look At Remaining Schedule

August so far has been a pretty tough month for the Red Sox as they are playing below .500 at 9-11. They have 8 games left -- 3 at the Dodgers, 3 at home against the O's & 2 at home versus the White Sox. I could see them going 6-2 to finish the month at 15-13. In September the Sox are home for 13 & away for 12. Within the division they play at Tampa Bay for 3, home & away for 7 against the Yankees & home & away for 6 against the O's. So 16 of 25 games in September are inter-divisional tilts that will decide which teams go to the playoffs. Currently, Baltimore is still floundering around .500 or less like the Sox while the Yankees & Rays are winning again. If the Sox are to make the playoffs, they need to win within the division. These last 33 games are where you need to get hot as a team. 6 good final starts for each pitcher. Middlebrooks & Drew contributing to the offense along with the top 4. And a solid bullpen. It will be a fight to the finish.
