Rain. Rain. Rain.
The Sox management, with their own weather station at Fenway Park, blew an important start by Jon Lester last night. They decided to start a game with rain predicted & it backfired after 1 out in the 1st inning.
I was also thinking about the poor Rays mindset. They have lost 8 in a row. They get bases loaded & have a chance to get to Jon Lester early in the 1st inning. Then the game gets called off. Bad luck continues.
I understand that Lester will start the 2nd game on Sunday. Hard to say how the warm-up & one inning last night will affect his performance.
Beckett goes today. Everyone in Red Sox Nation is looking for Josh to have a good start & bounce back to his Beckett-like form from mid-season.
