Ellsbury Settling In At Leadoff

My granddaughter's favorite player is Jacoby Ellsbury because he is "hot" according to her. She's thinking about becoming a Red Sox reporter in the future like Heidi Watney.

I agree with her. Ells has been hot recently for the Red Sox & has settled in nicely as the everyday leadoff hitter in the lineup. After 2 strikeouts in his first 2 at-bats last night, he roped a 2-run triple to left center & tied the game at 2-2. In addition to getting big hits, Ells has stolen more bases than any Red Sox in history. On the other side of the ball, he flies around in the outfield & gets to many balls others couldn't. He's had a nice season all around.

Whenever you don't hear the Boston media picking on a player like Ellsbury, you know that he must be doing something right.
