New, Improved Dice-K

It was an "iffy" night at the ballpark. Dice-K making his first start against Lackey. No Youk in the lineup. No Victor in the lineup. But everything turned out roses with a 4-1 win over the Angels.

The Red Sox continue to let the Angels know that their #1 starter can't beat them. Lackey can only blame himself with a throwing error to let in the game's first run. He gave up 3 runs in 8+ innings of work. Not a bad performance, but he was outpitched by Dice-K.

Matsuzaka exceeding everyone's expectations with 6 scoreless innings. He used mostly fastballs & cut fastballs to dispose of the Angels lineup. His command was very good for being off so many months.

At last look, Texas was losing to Oakland.
