A Positive Thought

As the Red Sox begin their weekend series in Detroit tonight, not many fans in Red Sox Nation are feeling too good about their hometown team. Include me in that group. I don't know why, maybe because I'm looking for anything positive, but I came up with the following thought. The Red Sox were 0-10 heading into Atlanta over a week ago. The Sox then reeled off 7 wins in a row before losing 3 in Cleveland. So the last 10 games find the Red Sox at 7-3, a 70% improvement for you math majors, over their previous 10. The next 10 games are against Detroit (3), Baltimore (3) & Cleveland (4). If the Sox can go 7-3 again, that would show signs of life & continued improvement. Mike Napoli returns on Sunday & maybe he will bring a hot bat with him. Think 7-3 again, fans! Think 7-3!
