Travel Day Letdown
12-3. That was the final score in a loss to Seattle last night after the Red Sox had 1-0 & 2-1 leads early in the game. I went to bed when it was 4-2. John Lackey didn't have it last night & he had to leave after 4 2/3rds. Chris Capuano was bad again out of the bullpen & he added to the misery of a lopsided loss. A bright spot was Mike Napoli with a double & homer off of King Felix. But, overall, a long season continues to be longer. The Red Sox don't seem to travel well as they drop the opening game of a road series again. This series is still up for grabs, so maybe Peavy & the offense can right the ship with a win tonight. It's hard for a lot of fans who saw the Red Sox have so much success last year, winning series after series, winning 1-run games in late inning dramatic fashion, to sit through this season. However, it is what it is.
