Almost for AJ

Almost doesn't count in baseball. Jake Peavy pitches well enough to win - again - but gets no run support. Chris Capuano gives up a huge insurance run to the A's in the bottom of the 7th. Capuano has taken over for Mujica as the most ineffective reliever out of the Red Sox bullpen. And still the Sox almost tied it in the 9th. Losing 4-2 Pedroia hits a double. After a weak foul out by Napoli AJ hits a ball deep to center that gets caught by Coco on a nice running & jumping catch at the wall to end the game. Close, but no cigar. The Amazin' A's just find a way to do more with less year after year after year. Billy Beane should get paid a lot more. As Eck said, the A's need to get past the Tigers in the playoffs this year & make a run at the world Series before all their karma is used up. That would be a good story.
