A Nice Win 1-0

When you think of the Red Sox & Orioles you don't think of just 1 run combined between both teams. But the Red Sox pitching staff returned the favor of a shutout from the prior night by shutting down the O's offense on just 2 hits. Mike Napoli had the only RBI in the 3rd, scoring Brock Holt. After that it was 6 2/3 innings of 1-hit ball by Brandon Workman, then 2 1/3 innings of 1-hit ball by Andrew Miller, Junichi Tazawa & Koji Uehara. This was a very atypical win for Boston as the Sox have a miserable record in 1-run games so far this year. Workman is making his case for sticking in the starting rotation when Doubront & Buchholz are ready to return. If Rubby de la Rosa can pitch well tonight, John Farrell will have some tough decisions to make. It would be nice to get a win tonight & also earn a series win in Baltimore before returning home to face the Indians 4 times this weekend.
