Jake Peavy gets the least run support of any Red Sox starter. That trend continued yesterday in the Sox 3-2 loss to the Indians. Bad relief pitching & little offense spelled the difference, along with several double plays. Is there any chance that Big Papi will start taking the ball the other way instead of hitting into the shift? Probably not as home run hitters swing for the fences & Papi is looking at breaking records every time he gets another at-bat. I'd like to see Ortiz go the other way for just 1 week & see what that does to teams shifting on him. Peavy deserved a better fate yesterday.
