How About Chris Carter?

I'm trying to help Ben do his job. How about a trade for Chris Carter of the Houston Astros? He's a big man at 6'4" & 250 pounds. 27 years old. He can play LF, 1B & DH. He is a 30 HR, 85 RBI guy who bats from the right side. It would probably take at least 3 good prospects to bring him to Beantown. I would give the Astros Middlebrooks, Webster & Lavarnway, just to name a few. Money won't be an issue as Carter is not a free agent yet. Ben could give him an extension of 5 years in the $30 to $40 million range, something that wouldn't break the bank. He does strikeout a lot, but his K's are down this year. Like with Napoli, you can teach someone to cut down on strikeouts, but you can't teach power. This guy has power. OK, Ben, go do it!
