Don Zimmer Passes Away

A baseball guy for life. Zim was in the same mold as Johnny Pesky. Just loved being around the game. Zimmer had stints with several teams - Red Sox, Yankees, Tampa Bay. He was very charitable to Windham, NH & helped raise money for many ball fields in town. I remember trying to recruit his granddaughter once for a college team. Even though he wore a Yankees hat & he was thrown to the ground by Pedro in a Red Sox-Yankees brawl, you have to admire a guy that did what he loved for so long. Safe travels, Don, to the next ball field!
