Workman Suspended 6 Games

Workman 6, Price 0. I blame this whole fiasco on the umpiring crew. They were too quick with warnings to both teams after Ortiz got hit. Usually, the other team gets one free hit batter before they get warned. And they never ejected Price after hitting a second Red Sox, Mike Carp, after the warnings were given. Poor umpiring. Workman will appeal his suspension, maybe getting it knocked down a few games so he only misses one turn in the rotation. He will pitch tonight. Poor, poor interpretation by the umps of what it means to hit a batter after a warning is given.
