Sox Sloppy in 6-1 Loss
No David Ross. No Will Middlebrooks. No Andrew Bailey. No Joel Hanrahan. No fielding by Pedro Ciriaco. No offense. All these no's add up to no win. Sox lose game 2 to Minnesota 6-1 last night. Ryan Dempster deserved a better fate as he pitched well enough to win. But the Sox bats seem to go asleep when Dempster is on the mound. Still, the Sox are the only team in the majors with 21 wins, so we can't be too critical. It would be nice for the bats to wake up tonight to support a second start by young Allen Webster. Webster is replacing Felix Doubront in the rotation for the time being. Doubront is now the long man in the bullpen. A lot of people in & out of the organization are excited about Webster & I'm one of them.
