Stop, Melkey, Stop!
What a bone head play in last night's Red Sox - Blue Jays tilt! Your team is losing by 8 runs. You finally get a runner on base in the 7th. Melkey Cabrera comes up & hit a 1-hopper off the wall in right. The runner from 1st is going to 3rd. Melkey decides that he should turn for 2nd as Daniel Nava gets to his ball. Nava throws a strike to Drew who tags Melkey out by 5 feet. What are you thinking, Melkey? At that point in the game you need base runners. John Gibbons should have tore Cabrera a new one for running into one of the Jays last outs. Not performing the basics is why teams lose games, even when you're down by 8. It's called lack of professionalism.
