Big Papi - Big in Minnesota
David Ortiz was a Minnesota Twin a long, long time ago. The Twins gave up on him & the rest is history with the Red Sox. Big Papi single handedly clouted his current club to a 12-5 win last night. 2 homers & a single, 6 RBI is a good night's work. It was nice to see the offense come alive against a Twins pitcher that shut them down in Boston earlier this year. Pitching has been the key ingredient to 3 Red Sox wins in a row prior to last night. The offense took over on Saturday night on a night when Ryan Dempster & others just didn't have it. That's why baseball is a T-E-A-M game. Nice to see the Red Sox clicking again & keeping up with the pinstripers in New York. So much for the predictions of Boston & New York in the cellar of the AL East - at least for the 1st 2 months.
