Sox Can't Stop the Bleeding
Another loss to the Twins 5-3. Another sloppy performance in the field via a bad throw from John Lackey that ends up in center field. The error leads to 4 unearned runs. Maybe getting the Blue Jays into Fenway will help & the 1-2-3 of Lester, Buck & Dempster can stop the bleeding this weekend. Weather may play a part in getting these games in, just another aggravation to deal with. When it's bad, it's bad, & that's the situation the Red Sox find themselves in. We need crisper pitching for sure, but more runs to work with would be nice too, as would sound defense in the field so teams don't get 4 & 5 outs an inning. Given the bullpen woes, it really will primarily fall to Lester, Buchholz & Dempster to stop the bleeding & win this next series. Leaders lead. Let's see who that is.
