How About the Little Guy!

Dustin Pedroia is like Tom Brady in the sense that they both always feel like they have something to prove. Petey came up in 2007 & was part of the World Series team that beat Colorado. In 2008 he earned the American League MVP. Since then it's been injuries & frustration, culminating with his public friction last year with Bobby Valentine. Valentine proved to be no Tito. This year the second-baseman is producing offensively & he is playing like a gold glover in the field. I still don't like Petey as a #3 hitter, but he seems to have grown into the role & he has provided key hits & RBI over the first few months. Perhaps with his foot now totally healed, his wife not pregnant, Bobby V. gone & a familiar guy like John Farrell at the helm Petey can concentrate on playing baseball. He reminds me of Derek Jeter, a guy who just wants to go out & win every day. Keep it goin', Petey!
