Indians Come to Town This Week

Later this week Terry Francona & his first place Cleveland Indians come to Boston for a 3-game set. What a homecoming for Tito as he has taken a cellar-dweller like the Indians & made them into a force to be reckoned with in the AL Central. Of course, Tito made sure that the Indians ownership was going to spend money to acquire new players like Michael Bourn, ex-Yankee Nick Swisher & ex-Oriole Mark Reynolds. Pitching is the team's big question mark, but Justin Masterson has pitched like a #1 top-of-rotation guy & Ubaldo Jimenez has found his groove again. Vets like Carlos Santana & Asdrubal Cabrera are having good seasons as well. Throw in Jason Giambi for good measure & you have a collection of guys having fun & winning. You have to feel good for Tito who is managing the team that his dad played for & the team whose dugout & clubhouse he would hang around in as a young kid. Tito should get quite a standing "O" in Boston this week.
