Sox Win 6-2
Lots of very good things happened last night in Chicago. Sox win 6-2 & stop a 2-game skid to finish their road trip 6-3. Clay Buchholz gives up only 1 run over 7 innings to win his 7th game & keep his ERA the best in the AL. David Ortiz drives in a few runs. Mike Napoli alertly takes home on a passed ball. And Daniel Nava delivers 2 big RBI late in the game for breathing room. It was a nice turnaround from the first 2 games of this series where the offense couldn't help the pitching. Of all the players mentioned above, I think Daniel Nava deserves more kudos. He has been a solid #6 hitter, picking up runners when Ortiz or Napoli fail to do so. His is hitting for average & he has a good OBP. Nava was nothing more than a 4th or 5th outfield prospect at the start of spring training. Now he is contributing in the field or at the plate every night. It took awhile, but good for him.
