Another Day & No Moves

5 days to the trade deadline & Ben Cherrington has yet to pull the trigger on any trade. A "bold" trade - which Cherrington said is unlikely - would include a Beckett, a Lester, an Ellsbury or a Crawford. I'm amazed that management feels they can win this year with Beckett & Lackey at the front of the rotation. It's just not happening. The addition of a Josh Johnson, Ryan Dempster or Matt Garza can only help their playoff chances. But no deals to date. This weekend in New York will be more of the same average play. Taking 2 out of 3 will only bring the Sox back to .500 once again. Nothing changes. And the train wreck that is Jon Lester pitches on Saturday.

I would not touch Ellsbury. The rest are up for grabs as far as I am concerned.
