Clay Buchholz pitched 8 quality innings after giving up a leadoff HR to start the game. Dustin Pedroia & Will Middlebrooks both hit big homers for the home team. Sox beat the Tigers 7-3 in the opener. You have to look at Buchholz as the ace of the staff at this point of the season. With Doubront also pitching well these 2 guys should be key parts of the rotation in 2013. Now if we can just nail down the other 3 spots with someone other than Beckett, Lester & Lackey. This management, however, will stand pat at the trade deadline. Don't expect to see a Ryan Dempster or a Josh Johnson at Fenway Park anytime this week.
