Why No Cody Ross?

Lineups for the first game of today's Red Sox-Yankees doubleheader are out & there is no Cody Ross in the Red Sox lineup. Why is that? Ross is one of the few long ball threats in a mediocre Red Sox lineup that desperately needs a win. Brent Lillibridge in right, really? Unless Bobby V knows something we don't, Ross needs to be in there. This isn't Little League where everyone on the 25 man roster has to play every 2nd or 3rd game. It's very surprising to me (& to Lou Merloni on the Baseball Show) that Ross is not in the lineup.
