Rehab Players Getting Closer

The Red Sox website says Scott Podsednik is the closest outfielder to finishing up his rehab & he may rejoin the team on Friday for the Yankees series. Podsednik brought life to the top of the order with his bat & speed - reminded you of an older Jacoby Ellsbury. Carl Crawford is back in Boston to be re-examined, then off to Double A Portland for a few more games. Jacoby Ellsbury remains in Florida to play in his third GCL game. As outfielders return, roster moves like Darnell McDonald will continue to be made. Daniel Nava & Ryan Kalish are the most likely to be ousted when more players complete their rehab. Nava, Kalish & Podsednik have all contributed to the recent successes of the Sox during June. But only 25 men can stay.
