Ross is Boss
One sports show reported that in San Francisco shirts were printed up for the Giants that said "ROSS IS BOSS." Maybe we should order a few of those! Another day, another 3-run homer for Cody Ross. This time it's in the bottom of the 9th & it's the game-winner. Ross' timely hit backed a great pitching effort by Clay Buchholz. His hit also came after 2 other good at bats by Crawford & Gonzalez who both singled of a tough lefty, Matt Thornton. Pedroia grounded out in between, but hussled down to first to negate a double play. That allowed Ross a chance to be the hero & he did not disappoint. Ross deposited a 94 mph fastball off the White Sox closer into the green monster. Game over. Sox are now 5-2 since the all-star break. Ellsbury, Crawford & Pedroia's returns certainly have given the team more energy. And less not forget Ross filing in nicely for Big Papi. Keep it up, boys!
