Sox Win 2-1

I turned the game on just after 10 PM. It was 1-1 in the 7th. It was almost 11 PM when Vicente Padilla had just struck out Josh Hamilton in the 8th with the game still tied 1-1. With Andrus on first Padilla threw over to keep him close. Padilla then threw again as soon as he got the ball back from Gonzo, surprising everyone. As the ball rolled into right field & Andrus went from first to third on the errant throw, I turned off the TV. I just couldn't watch the Sox blow another game. I was pleasantly surprised to see on the sports news that they won 2-1, thanks to a great effort by Clay Buchholz & a timely bloop hit by Mike Aviles in the 9th. Don't get excited that the Sox are now 6-6 since the break & back to .500. There are 6 other teams ahead of the Red Sox for the 2nd wild card. A team of this caliber playing .500 for 4 months is going nowhere. Buchholz is the #1 guy for the future. Build a new starting rotation around him.
