Yankees 6, Sox 1

Freddy Garcia couldn't break a pane of glass, but his junk was good enough to keep a punchless Red Sox offense to just 1 run through 6 2/3. Just looking at the patchwork lineup for Boston you knew they would not generate any offense. Unfortunately, Frank Morales had his worst start, giving up several long balls & 6 runs. Funny how limiting the Yankees to 6 runs would have earned a win last night. The Sox are in a hole & it doesn't look like they are climbing out of it any time before the break.
