Fire Sale in Oakland Continues

Billy Beane is putting coal in the stockings of A's fans this Christmas. He has sold off just about every valuable player that helped the A's to win the wild card last year & to make the playoffs 3 years in a row. The latest is a deal to send C Derek Norris to the Padres for 2 minor league pitchers. Norris, Moss, Donaldson & Smardzija have all been traded away for peanuts. Lester & Lowrie were not re-signed & both have moved on. Billy has a bunch of prospects to fill-out positions around a very good pitching staff, Coco Crisp, Josh Reddick & new signee Billy Butler. A far cry from their roster for the past 3 seasons. Time will tell if Billy sold at the right time.
