Pats Finish 12-4 With First Seed in AFC
It was meaningless. No talk of focusing on the Bills this week could produce better than a lackluster performance in the season finale where there was nothing to gain for the Pats. Several starters were kept out. Several backups got real game experience. The regular season is over & the Pats are in the playoffs. Once you are in, anything can happen. Like baseball, playoffs are different than the regular season. You can hit your way into the playoffs, but to win you need pitching. In football you can get to the playoffs with offense, but to win you need defense. And that's where the Patriots are different this year. Defense & special teams are the standouts this year. A Brady-led offense that only needs 20 points to win is much different than in prior years. We have as good a chance to go to the Super Bowl as any other AFC team. It's the Pats championship to lose.
