AFC Goes Through Gillette Stadium

On Sunday the Pats barely played well enough to scrape by the NY Jets 17-16. On Monday night the Denver Broncos lost to Cincinnati. Thus, the Patriots earn the #1 seed in the AFC & they will have home field advantage throughout the playoffs. Manning looked old & pressured last night, throwing several INT's. Brady looked the same against the Jets. But the Pats found a way to win, thanks to the big paw of Vince Wilfork who blocked a field goal attempt late in the game. Instead of a liability as in past years, the defense has been a bright spot along with the play of special teams. The Pats offense no longer has to score 30+ points to win a game. Maybe this is the year for another Super Bowl ring.
