Nelson Cruz to Mariners

MLB Network is reporting that Nelson Cruz has signed a 4-year deal with the Seattle Mariners. There goes Baltimore's thumper! This signing may have impact on the Red Sox as Seattle was a team interested in Yoenis Cespedes. Now Ben may need to deal Cespedes to the Cincinnati Reds, Philadelphia Phillies or New York Mets to get a quality pitcher back. I was not that impressed with Iwakuma, a guy the M's would have given up to get a big bat. Let's shoot higher - Hamels, Cueto, Sale. Cruz is one more chip off the table.
