Get ready for more & more chatter to heat up on A-Rod as Spring Training approaches. The Yankees signed 3B Chase Headley to a 4-year deal this week, basically relegating A-Rod to a DH who will be making $25 million a year. I bet Big Papi likes that! Brian Cashman spoke on the MLB Network yesterday that he feels Headley will be the everyday 3B & A-Rod will be the everyday DH, if he can hold up physically after not playing for a full season. But more than positions on the field & in the batting order, the Yankees must now begin to deal with a divisive personality of A-Rod who sued both MLB & his own Players Association. Neither management nor players want him around. A-Rod will be a distraction on & off the field for the Yankees for the entire season. Good luck Yankees in dealing with one of the most hated players in the game. And you have 2 more years to go after this season.
