Plan B

Still no word from Lester. Now the Dodgers are rumored to be interested in the former Red Sox lefty. I still say pull your offer on Friday, Ben, & move on to Plan B. Plan B could be Jeff Samardzija & James Shields. It could be Johnny Cueto & Jordan Zimmermann. It could be Cole Hamels & Brandon McCarthy. I'd hate to see the Sox wait for Lester too long, not get him & then miss out on signing a couple of these other better arms. Scherzer will be as expensive as Lester, so he could be considered a target of the Red Sox as well. I'd give it one more day, then move on.
