Knuckleballer Steven Wright

I was looking around a few websites to get a story for the blog today & I came across Steven Wright on the Red Sox website. Wright, 30, is an interesting story & with all the changes to the rotation he has a chance to be the swing guy between the bullpen & as an occasional starter. In limited big league action Wright has a 3.67 ERA. I saw the knuckleballer pitch for the Sea Dogs & it was a typical knuckleballer's game - several innings of 1,2,3 then a long home run. He is deja vu Tim Wakefield all over again. But if Wright can eat innings & maintain an ERA around 3.50 he could be a very valuable & underrated piece of the pitching staff for Ben & company. At $500,000 this year & under team control for several more Steven Wright may be ready to have a breakout 2015.
