Jason Bay is gone to the lowly Mets. With Adrian Gonzalez nowhere in sight, does this mean that Mike Lowell has a spot on the Red Sox roster in 2010?
There was talk of Lowell going to first so Youk could play third. That would take away some of his defensive issues. Lowell certainly has more pop in his bat than Kotchman. And Kotchman could spell Lowell as needed throughout the season so he doesn't over do it like last April & May.
If the Sox are going to pay Lowell's salary anyways, why not keep him?
