Braves 5, Red Sox 2

The Red Sox had a short-lived win streak of 1 game.  The Braves are far from an imposing team that you fear.  Yet, they get the job done with the players they have by playing smart baseball.  A few well-timed singles last night was enough for the win.  By contrast, the Sox are anything but timely & when you only score 2 runs you are not going to win on most nights.  No more smoke & mirrors talk, please.  Cherington knows that the season is over.  Everyone in the Red sox organization knows that this team doesn't have the "it" factor this year.  They just don't.  So stop pushing the it's not over scenario.  The Sox are 6 games behind 4th place, never mind 1st place.  We may be 2 years into another 86 year drought.
