Pitching Changes Are Starting
Something has to give when you have the 2nd worst ERA in all of baseball. Today we find out that the Sox have dismissed Juan Nieves as their pitching coach. Nieves had a good staff ERA in 2013 when the Sox won their 3rd World Series in 10 years. But it's all about what have you done for me lately & in 2015 it's been ugly. Also, Edward Mujica was designated for assignment. Mujica never lived up to the hype about his role as a closer for the Cardinals. He has looked less than enthusiastic on the mound lately & his results have not been good. Take the Nieves & Mujica firings as the first of many moves by the Sox. More pitching changes to come.
