Dumb, John Farrell, Just Dumb

A squandered chance to get back to .500.  A 2-1 loss to the Mariners last night in large part to a blunder by John Farrell.  With the winning run at second why would you ever pitch to Nelson Cruz with a base open & give him a chance to win the game?  I don't care if he was 0 for 100 against Tazawa in the past.  Cruz should have never been given anything but an intentional walk.  His run would have meant nothing & the infield would have had a force play.  I really don't care if Farrell owned up to his poor decision after the game.  It was still a ridiculously poor decision, very poor for a guy who has been managing for awhile.  Clay Buchholz & his Mad Max haircut deserved better.  But Buck got no help from his challenged offense who could score only 1 run off of J.A. Happ.  The Sox haven't strung a big offensive inning together for quite some time.  Now that the pitching is coming around, the offense needs to start scoring runs again.  A very frustrating night to stay up until 1 AM to see the Sox lose that way.  Very frustrating!
