Vazquez Out for Season

Another player falls victim to Tommy John surgery.  This time it's Cristian Vazquez of the Red Sox who will miss the 2015 season.  Like Orioles C Matt Wieters, Vazquez needs to repair his elbow which started hurting after throwing out a Yankees runner in early March.  Now Ryan Hanigan & Sandy Leon will share duties for the Sox behind the plate.  Both have above-average defensive skills & the Sox lineup can accomodate a light-hitting catcher this year.  It's a blessing to have a deep roster at every position.  I hope Vazquez makes a full recovery & he is ready for the 2016 season.
