O's Win, Hanley Subpar

The Baltimore Orioles used a familiar formula to beat the Red Sox 4-1 this afternoon.  Good defense, good relief pitching & use of the long ball.  A 2-1 O's lead in the 8th went to 4-1 on a Chris Davis homer over the monster off of Robbie Ross.  For the Red Sox no one hit with RISP.  But Hanley Ramirez had an all-around subpar day.  He went 0-3 at the plate, swinging for terrible pitches & grounding out with men in scoring position.  In LF he is a terrible fielder when any ball is close to the wall.  He misplayed 2 more balls today & cost at least 1 run.  Where's all that defensive work he did with Butterfield?  When Hanley is hitting you can put up with his defense, but today he was not.  I wonder where this LF experiment is going.
