No Sweep in Gotham

Aren't we all a little greedy at times?  A sweep of the Yankees would have been nice, but we'll take 2 out of 3 anytime.  It wasn't to be for the Sox on Sunday night as they fell 14-4.  Clay Buchholz gave up 7 runs in the 1st inning.  Realistically, game was over from there on.  Hanley Ramirez added an HR in the 5th, his 3rd of the year in week 1.  And Mike Napoli got the monkey off his back with his 1st hit of the season.  We will take a 4-2 road trip to start the season.  Now the Sox have a 7-game homestand against the Nationals & Orioles, a couple of very good teams.  A winning record of 4-3 or better would be a good result to me.  We'll see how well this Sox revamped offense responds against quality pitchers from Washington & then we'll see how well Sox pitchers do in keeping the O's offense off the scoreboard.  A good test of where this team is early in the season.
