New York Marathon Goes to Boston 6-5

19 innings.  That's how long it took for the Red Sox to win game 1 of 19 against the Yankees.  To be honest I turned the game off after watching Mujica give up the tying HR in the bottom of the 9th.  2 hours later I get a text from my niece saying that Steven Wright is pitching.   I turn the game back on in the 18th inning & the Sox score a go-ahead run 5-4, only to have the Yankees tie it up in the bottom of the 18th with no outs.  I turned it off again.  This morning I see the 2 Boston B's - Betts & Bogaerts - helped score the game winner in the 19th.  Mercy!  Now the Sox play an afternoon game, followed by Sunday night, then the home opener on Monday.  Can't ESPN start their Sunday night game earlier than 8 PM EST?  It makes for a long Monday for any team traveling.  All 4 Red Sox pitchers have looked good, including Wade Miley last night.  Good news - Big Papi hit his 1st homer of the year.  Also a good test of wills, mental fortitude if you will, & the Red Sox players won this matchup.  A tough loss for the Yankees after dropping 2 out of 3 at home to the Blue Jays.  Could be a long year for the pinstripers.
