Comparison of MLB to NFL

I like Christopher "Mad Dog" Russo.  I agree with most points that he makes on the MLB Network, although some not so much.  However, I really enjoyed his analogy of a baseball season as compared to a football season.  Mad Dog said that every 10 games in baseball equates to 1 game in football.  Isn't that a great perspective?  The Red Sox were 7-3 after their 1st 10 games.  That would equate to a win in game #1 by the Patriots.  This reminds me, & should remind you, that the season is young & records don't mean to much at the outset of a new season.  Do I like that the Red Sox are 8-5 & in 1st place in the AL East while their starting pitchers have the highest ERA in the league?  Yes.  Let's see how the next 10-20-30 games go, or the next 3 games by NFL standards, before we make any kind of decisions about the future.  April & May are "feel out" months to see what your team has & what they may need going into the trade deadline.  Let's keep that football perspective as we go through April & May.
