Rusney & Mookie to Share CF

Per John Farrell, both Rusney Castillo & Mookie Betts will share CF to start the spring season. Farrell expects each player to get equal time in the outfield so they can work on their communication with the guys in left & right. Both Castillo & Betts could use more seasoning at AAA. Both could also make the starting roster. (Quite a different scenario this year compared to last when it was Grady Sizemore & JBJ dueling for CF!) The spring competition will end with one of these 2 players being the starting CF in April. If I had to guess, I go with the bigger salary, aka follow the money, & Rusney gets the nod. Farrell & the Sox brass may not want to overexpose Mookie - like they did with JBJ & Middlebrooks - in order to keep his trade potential high. Personally, I don't see a spot in the lineup for Mookie this year unless there is an injury. How do the Sox keep Betts happy while waiting for a position to open up? It will be a juggling act for sure.
