Pitching Depth

The Red Sox have a deep roster.  Think about this.  If Buchholz, Porcello, Miley, Masterson & Kelly all go down, you could see a rotation of Johnson, Barnes, Workman, Owens & Wright.  Brian Johnson & Steven Wright have had good camps this spring & both could be called up in a spot-starting role should anything happen to one of the starting 5 in the rotation.  Henry Owens has been hit around some, but he will find his groove with more starts at AAA.  Matt Barnes looks like a sure thing to join the bullpen as he & Brandon Workman look for a chance to be pen-mates to start the year.  Barnes & Workman can both start games as well.  If the spring means anything, it looks like Brian Johnson may have surpassed Henry Owens as the 1st lefty option for John Farrell.  Nothing like a lot of talent & competition to keep everyone sharp.  I can't remember a Sox team this deep in the recent past.
