Pedroia - Just Win

Dustin Pedroia is not a stat guy. All he cares about is winning. In a WEEI interview he said he could care less about his numbers, as long as the team wins. Having said that, Pedroia does feel 100% healthy going into spring training for the 1st time in 2 years. His wrist injury is fully healed & he feels confident with his bat speed & control. A guy who plays as hard as Pedroia is going to get dinged up from time to time. But he commands respect in the dugout for taking the field for 160 games a year & he brings an attitude of winning each day to his teammates. I compare his attitude to Tom Brady or Derek Jeter. The goal each day is to win, not to rack up personal stats. How uncommon is that today with pampered pro athletes? We are lucky to have this little guy on our team. I'd pay to see him play anytime.
