Where is James Shields Going?

No team yet for free agent James Shield & it's February 3rd, 2 weeks away from pitchers & catchers reporting to spring training. His model of consistency over the past 8 seasons is working against him, sabermetrically, because the pencil pushers say that his arm has thrown too many pitches. And his very poor, lackluster performance in the playoffs didn't help his cause. Shields was the exact opposite of Baumgartner. And what ever happen to that mysterious 5 years, $110 million deal? I guess it never materialized because it was a fictional offer put out there by his agent. So now Shields & his agent have to take less - both in dollars & years. They should have never let the cat out of the bag with the untrue offer of 5 at $110M. Every team backed off after hearing that. Dumb move, Mr. Agent! Now you have a dissatified client who will play for a team that he feels undervalues him. Don't look for many smiles from James Shields this year - wherever he lands.
